Aakash–could you re-work and revise this so the op-ed isn’t so similar to the research paper? Put a new twist on it, perhaps?

You picked an interesting topic! Music is definitely a timely and relevant subject, because, as you mentioned, music is part of just about every world society and culture. I find it very interesting that the study you mentioned revealed that it’s the music instead of the lyrics that influences people’s attitudes. There are quite a few grammatical errors in the op-ed, such as several, very long run-on sentences (particularly towards the beginning of the op-ed), but, other than that, you have an interesting op-ed!

This seems like an interesting topic. What are the different stereotypes that have been put on certain genres? I know that certain music is supposed to stimulate brain activity. Are there any genres that can have a negative effect on your physical and mental being?
